Steven Delannoye studies his last year at the Lemmens-Institute in Leuven in the jazz-department, where his teacher is Frank Vaganée. He was also taught by John Ruocco and Ben Sluijs, and he took workshops with Phil Woods, Dave Liebman, Bob Mintzer and Bill Carrothers...
Steven is soprano-, alto- and tenorsaxophone player in his own sextet, trio and quartet. As a sideman he works with the free-jazz trio: “Mopti”, the “Peter Hertmans Sextet”, the “Louis Favre Group” a group of the French drummer Louis Favre, the “MuchoGusto Bigband”, the “Young Jazz Ensemble”, the “Simon Witvrouw Trio”.
He freelances in the young Belgian jazz scene with colleages of the conservatoria, on different occasions. He is also teacher in the music schools of Tielt and Eeklo.
Steven Delannoye shared the same stage with famous Belgian musicians, such as Peter Hertmans, Bruno Castellucci, Sal La Rocca, Otti Van Der Werf, Frank Vaganée, Dré Pallemaerts, Philippe Aerts en Ron Van Rossum.
