Born in Barbate (Andalucia) Nono GARCIA grew up in a flamenco environment and did learn guitar on his own.
At 15, he wins first prize at the "Festival de la Cancion de Andalucia".
In Granada where he follows his studies in philosophy at the university he plays with various singers like Carlos Cano, Antonio Mata and the jazz-rock band "La Banda del Tio Paco", also recording two records with female singer Aurora Moreno.
He discovers jazz, finds step by step his own style and decides to make music his life.
He did compose and record for theater, television and documentaries.
In Madrid he was part of many ensembles and gave solo concerts in Spain, Holland, Germany and Belgium.
He lived for several years in Belgium, he formed the "Belgium Band" (tours in Belgium, Spain and TV recordings),
he was also part of Vaya Con Dios (tours and first album), continues to give solo concerts and performs with the band "Faena", Emilio Maya, and with his own band including Chris Joris and bass player Francois Garny.
Nono Garcia created "Cadiz Experience" with Spanish jazz piano player Chano Dominguez, a well known and now famous musician in his country, bass player Francois Garny and drummer Philippe Mobers.
Their repertoire: mainly Nono Garcia compositions and some standards.
Nono GARCIA currently lives in Madrid, Spain.
Traditional flamenco is the main essence in which Nono Garcia searches for new musical horizons, but jazz, Latin and oriental music are also part of the journey.
His first CD "Las Quimeras del Momento" produced by Patrick Bauwens was released on the QUETZAL label (QZ 102).
