Trumpet player Nic Fissette was one of the most profiled be-bop player in Belgium.

He played with musicians like Jacques Pelzer, Bobby Jaspar, René Thomas, Francy Boland, Jack Sels etc...

He played with several big bands, and during many years, he was a pillar of the BRT Jazzorkest led by Etienne Verschueren, thanks to whom he had the opportunity to work with well known soloists, composers and arrangers.

With Etienne Verschueren (sax), Tony Bauwens (p), Roger Vanhaverbeke (b) and Freddy Rottier (drs), he was part of the "Bop Friends", with whom he recorded a couple of albums.

He also played with Marc Moulin's Placebo, pianist Marc Matthys, Sadi's big band, Act Big band, with whom he recorded several albums, with saxophonists Johnny Dover and Alex Scorier, with the Belgian all stars big band for the album "The music of Gasti Meyer".

He also appears on the soundtrack of the movie "Just Friends", written by Michel Herr.
