Christian Klinkenberg began to compose at an early age. He studied both jazz and classical composition at the "Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel" where he now teaches music theory.
His music is characterized by the use of orchestral and compositional techniques and possibilities of the contemporary classical music in combination with a writing style that is deeply rooted in jazz.
Alongside his work as a composer, Klinkenberg has continued actively as a pianist, bandleader and improviser with different performers and ensembles.
He composed and arranged mainly for string quartet, chamber music, choirs, Big Band and Symphony Orchestra.
