Drummer Stéphane Galland releases a single : Polar Dwarfs 'Synth-Ethic Selection'
Belgian drummer Stéphane Galland starts a fresh adventure with key wizard Adriaan 'Pomrad' Van de Velde. Under the moniker of Polar Dwarfs, they present a boundless, funny, creative, avant-gardish, groovy, virtuoso, colorful and very musical universe in which electronics are the medium to find new perspectives on Galland's Rhythmology.
They released their first ever piece 'Synth-Ethic Selection', featuring B C Manjunath on konnakol. A prelude to their debut album due for release later this year.

    The Sounds Jazz Club in Brussels closes its doors
    The jazz club "Le Sounds", an essential club of the jazz scene in Brussels since 1986, has closed its doors. A huge thank you to Sergio Duvalloni and Rosy Merlini for having kept this place alive, which was inhabited by great moments of music.
    Update : a new team hopes to reopen the club in the fall 2021

    Michel Herr has recorded his composition "Changing Landscapes"
    At the Galaxy Studios (B), Michel Herr has recorded "Changing landscapes", a suite he wrote for 2 trumpets (1 classical, 1 jazz) and string ensemble. Benny Wiame played the classical trumpet part, Carlo Nardozza the jazz trumpet part, with the support of Tim Finoulst on guitar and Christophe Devisscher on double bass, plus the Boho Strings conducted by David Ramael.
    The piece will be released on an album featuring compositions for trumpet and strings written by Belgian composers.
