A petition to save the collections of La Médiathèque (Point Culture)
La Médiathèque has a huge collection of records, DVDs, etc,... available for rental. 53.000 jazz albums for instance. If you want to oppose the plan (by the Ministry) to dismantle this great cultural tool, you can sign the petition.

    Final bar : guitarist Paul Elias
    We just heard (with some delay) that guitarist Paul Elias passed away on September 21, 2018. In the seventies, he was a member of the fusion band Abraxis (with a.o. pianist Charles Loos). He appears on the album "Meeting you", of pianist/arrangeur Bob Porter, with o.a. Bert Joris, Richard Rousselet, Bruno Castellucci.
    Later, he accompanied many Belgian singers such as Paul Louka, André Bialek, Michel Fischer, etc...

    During the final evening of the B Jazz Contest (Leuven Jazz Festival), guitarist and composer Philip Catherine received the composition prize 2019 for his work "Title", commissioned by the B Jazz Contest.
    Prize for Best Interpretation of 'Title' was handed over to the band Serendip.
