The Jazz in Belgium website : 10 years !
On October 27, 1996, the Jazz in Belgium website went online. Ten years later, a lot of work has been done, and the site has become an essential tool which received national and international recognition.
Let's just mention a few names, those of people who devoted their time and otherwise helped this ambitious project, which contributed in a significant way to the coverage of the rich Belgian jazz scene :
First of all: our inventive and tireless webmaster, Ilan Oz, backed by Michel Herr, a musician himself.
Next, the Lundis d'Hortense, the association of Belgian jazz musicians, which promptly decided to support and to adopt the project on the long run. And a.o. Katy Saudmont and Laurent Poncin, at the office.
Renaud Janson, who took care of web hosting and technical support for many years, now followed by Logilune (France).
Victor Zamouline-Prescott, ex Jazz-Valley (F), who developed the new version of the site, a powerful database tool.
Then the people who take care of the concert calendar: Marta Estiévenart and Anne-Marie Prins. And the photographers and the graphic artists as well.
But above all, a big thank you to you all, our visitors, for your support.
