The trio of saxophonist Toine Thys in Albania
The trio of saxophonist Toine Thys is invited to perform in Albania in the context of the Jazz in Albania Festival. With Arno Krijger (organ) and Niek de Bruyn (drs).  Workshop on July 26 at the University of Arts in Tirana, followed by an evening concert at the Rogner main Hall hotel.
The following day, a concert in the Greek amphitheater "Apolonnia" in the city of Fier.

On July 15, 2018 (20:00), RTBF Musiq3 radio (B) will broadcast the concert of the project "An American songbook" given on June 22, 2018 in the Abbaye of Val-Dieu (B). 12 American songs performed by lyrical singer Julie Mossay, saxophonist Steve Houben, the trio of pianist Nathalie Loriers (with Sam Gerstmans on bass and Rick Hollander on drums), plus the strings of the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie conducted by Frank Braley. 12 arrangements by Michel Herr.

The band Pentadox wins the Young Talent award in Gent Jazz Festival (10.000 euros). The trio consists of Sylvain Debaisieux (tenor sax), Bram De Looze (piano) and Samuel Ber (drums). They internd to invite guest artists, such as George Lewis and to release an album.

ClarinetFest invites Brussels Jazz Orchestra to perform with 5 jazz clarinet players
ClarinetFest 2018 will take place in the beautiful city of Ostend, Belgium, July 6-11 2018. Artistic Director Eddy Vanoosthuyse will be assisted by the family of the late Guido Six. The annual International Clarinet Association-conference is presented in partnership with the City of Ostend.
On July 7, 2018 (20:00), Brussels Jazz Orchestra brings the result of a one-off collaboration with international guest jazz soloists : Eddie Daniels, Paquito D'Rivera, Stéphane Chausse, Felix Peikly and Joris Roelofs.

Igloo Records celebrates its 40th anniversary with a series of concerts, a.o. at Festival au Carré in Mons (B) featuring Steve Houben and Charles Loos, Phliip Catherine & Eric Legnini.
More concerts with Igloo artists will follow in August 2018 at the Gaume Jazz Festival (B), in September 2018 at the Marni Jazz Festival in Brussels, etc...And an exhibition in September at the Galerie Putsch of Erg (Brussels), and a book, currently in writing, by Jean-Pierre Goffin.
