The field of action of the Quartet embraces different styles and decades of the MPB (Brazilian Popular Music). Chico Buarque, Joao Gilberto, Tom Jobim and Milton Nascimento are only few of the authors chosen by Italian vocalist Flavio Spampinato to honor what he defines as an endless universe of inspiration. Following a jazz-derived practice of arrangement and improvisation, the Quartet, half Brazilian half European, carries out a collective work of arrangement in an acoustic aesthetic, but yet groovy and with a foot in the contemporary.
