Gypsy, Jazz, Rock, Manouche
Forerunners of a well defined style, melodies, arrangements and themes are singular and stay their trademark.
From the streets of Brittany to the biggest European festivals, from improvised jam sessions to spectacular events, Les Doigts de l'Homme has travelled a long way for the past fifteen years!
Ever since their first album 'Dans le Monde', these musicians have consistently developed their own voice. Without blinkers and open to all kinds of influences. In their work one will find traces of giysy jazz, gypsy rock, Celtic music, flamenco, French chanson and even classical music. But always light-footed, swinging, with a touch of humour. Recognisable from the very first chord. They have built their own, original repertoire with which they have scored internationally. Quite rare for a French band. The fact that Les Doigts de l'Homme is acoustically amazing, obviously explains a lot.
A percussionist has now joined the original string quartet, and with this new line-up they challenge the intimacy of the theatre, to be as close as possible to their audience. With old work in a new dress, richer, even more enthusiastic, they will give their all. Let there be no doubt about that
