On 26 February 2010 Tutu Puoane and the BJO presented their new album Mama Africa at the De Roma in Borgerhout to an enthusiastic audience. Elaine Britton of the Makeba Centre for Girls in Midrand (South Africa) was the special guest of the evening. The centre was set up in 2003 by Miriam Makeba, a global star and a defender of humanitarian causes. The musicians chose to donate their entire profits to the Makeba Centre - a welcome gesture during these difficult financial times. Mrs Britton, together with Tutu and the BJO, also met with local, provincial and national authorities to discuss development and collaboration. Mama Africa is released on the Saphrane label .
