One of the important figures of Dixieland jazz in Belgium, Rudi (Rudy) Balliu founded the Cotton city jazzband in the sixties and led the Society Serenaders (several albums, with American guests).
He also led his "New Orleans trio" and recorded an album in New Orleans.
