Laurent DOUMONT is a saxophone player, singer and songwriter from Brussels, mostly known for his soulful style.

He was part of the “ Daniel Romeo’s Band” from 1999 to 2008.

He also played for the entertaining show know as “Improsessions”, and is now frequently playing in blues bands with Marc Lelangue or Boogie Boy.

As a free lance musician, he had the opportunity to play with artists such as Fred Wesley, Boney M, George Mc Crae, Percy Sledge and, on a very special evening, with James Brown.

But mostly, L.D. has been the leader of his own band since 1998, in various formations, featuring “la crême” of belgian musicians.

He released his first album (Soul Quintet) in 2001 and has just recorded the brand new “PAPA SOUL TALKIN” with his current quartet and a bunch of guests, for the very best of Soul & Jazz.

In the past, was also involved in the following bands:
Laurent Doumont Soul Band      Marc Lelangue & the Heavy Muffulettas
Homage to Jaco Pastorius      Daniel Romeo Band
Mister Dumont
