A Cesar (F) for "The Artist", best music soundtrack, featuring the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Jef Neve
A Cesar (France) crowned the movie "The Artist" (Michel Hazanavicius) in several categories, including best music soundtrack. The music, composed by Ludovic Bource, was recorded in Brussels (Studio 4, Flagey) by the Brussels Jazz Orchestra (playing a.o. with great conviction in the Benny Goodman's big band style !), the Brussels Philharmonic (conducted by Ernst van Tiel, NL) and pianist Jef Neve.

    The Bafta (movie awards in the UK) crowned the movie "The Artist" (Michel Hazanavicius) in several categories, including best music soundtrack. The music, composed by Ludovic Bource, was recorded in Brussels (Studio 4, Flagey) by the Brussels Jazz Orchestra (playing a.o. with great conviction in the Benny Goodman's big band style !), the Brussels Philharmonic (conducted by Ernst van Tiel, NL) and pianist Jef Neve.
    Furthermore, the soundtrack of "The Artist" is among the 5 nominees (best music soundtrack) for the upcoming Oscars (February 26, 2012) in the US !

    The Del-Ferro-Vaganée Group has recorded a new album
    Saxophonist Frank Vaganée was in the recording studio with the Del-Ferro-Vaganée Group on 6, 7 and 8 February, 2012, to record a new CD to be released in May 2012 on the WERF label. The band consists of Mike Del Ferro (piano), Jos Machtel (double bass) and Jens Düppe (drums).

    Garrett List writes for theater, does masterclasses, + a radio portrait on RTBF
    US trombonist and composer Garrett List wrote the music for 2 theater plays : "Les bonnes intentions" (Théâtre de l'Ancre, Charleroi, B) and "Jardin d'enfants" (Châtellerault, F).
    He also proposes a masterclass (March-June 2012 in Brussels and Liège : Infos)
    On RTBF radio La Première, on February 6 & 13, 2012 (22:00), Maxime Cotton proposes a radio portrait of Garrett List in the program "Ouï Dire". The podcast of the first show is available here.
