Hans VAN OOST has played with many well known names of the Belgian jazz scene : Richard ROUSSELET (tp), Jean-Louis RASSINFOSSE (b), Félix SIMTAINE (drs), Michel HERR (p), Jean WARLAND (b), Ben SLUIJS etc...
He participated in the Fabien DEGRYSE project HOMMAGE A RENÉ THOMAS, and appears on the album (Igloo).
With saxophonist Dieter LIMBOURG, he founded a quartet with Bas COOYMANS (b) and Félix SIMTAINE (drs).
He also plays with the Bart DEFOORT quartet, with Bart DE NOLF (b) and Jan DE HAAS (drs). The band played numerous concerts, a.o. the Jazzlab Series tour, and an album was released in fall 2003.
Hans also played with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra on several occasions.
