From 1980 to 1982 : studied at "Berklee School of Music" in Boston, USA.
First prize for guitar and harmony, in the jazz department of the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles.

Accompanied, in a TV program "Jeunes Solistes" of the RTBF, Toots THIELEMANS, Nicole CROISILLE, Philippe LAFONTAINE, The GOLDEN GATE QUARTET...

Concerts with Philip CATHERINE, Calvin OWENS, Steve HOUBEN, Charles LOOS, Richard ROUSSELET, Jean-Louis RASSINFOSSE, Bruno CASTELLUCCI, Erwin VANN, Eric LEGNINI, Paolo RADONI, Pirly ZURSTRASSEN etc...

1987: Tour with ZAR (Belgium, Canada)

1990: Tour with his own group QUADRUPLEX (Belgium, France, Germany)

1992: Tour with the "Fabien DEGRYSE Quintet"

1993: Awarded the "Sax de la Découverte" for his album "Medor Sadness".

Fabien DEGRYSE is also the initiator of the BIG BAND DE GUITARES, subtitled "Hommage à René THOMAS". He presented this ensemble in various concerts and festivals, as well as on CD.
The cd 'Hommage à René Thomas', with the 'Big Band de guitares' is voted best '98 jazz album of the year in 'Le Soir'

He recently introduced a new quartet, featuring his own compositions, with which he recorded the album "Jazz" and played many concerts .

Teaching : "Stage Midnight", "Jazz au Vert" (Lundis d'Hortense), Académie d'été de Libramont.
Teaches at the Académies of Marchienne au Pont, Evere and at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.

In '98, Fabien DEGRYSE was elected best Belgian acoustic guitar player of the year '98, both in the listeners poll (RTBF/VRT) and the Belgian critics poll (French speaking).
