The 2006 Django d'Or awards ceremony (11th edition, always with the support of PAB/SABAM) took place on October 4, 2006 at the Woluwe-Saint-Pierre Cultural Center in Brussels and will be animated by the Charles Loos Orchestra.
Were nominated, in the category "confirmed musician", (this year the winners will be from the Dutch speaking community in Belgium) :
Bart Defoort (tenor sax), Peter Hertmans (guitar) and Diederik Wissels (piano).
Young talent nominees were : Melanie De Biasio (voc.), Lorenzo Di Maio (gt) and Jean-Paul Estiévenart (tp).
