At the dawn of the new millennium, two oldtime friends Mario Coppola and Alfredo Longo, both passionate about jazz, set up a common project by creating a jazz big band in Brussels.
Soon other musicians eagerly joined them in this venture. The YELLOW GREEN BIG BAND was born !
Over the years the repertoire became even richer as the group acquired more self-confidence and maturity thanks to the arrival of more experienced musicians.
Initially composed of jazz standards arranged by the most talented musicians, the repertoire has been broadened in terms of harmony and interpretation to include styles like pop, funk, film music or bossa nova.
YELLOW AND GREEN adopted the colors of summertime… and of festivals, as the group enjoys playing for all publics in the open air, under the sun amidst the chlorophyll…
