This young and adventurous band has been performing on stage in the Benelux, Germany, France and Switzerland for quite some years now. Its individual members have played alongside famous musicians at the North Sea Jazz Festival and the Montreux Jazz Festival, and toured with various jazz and world music groups.

Their music is refreshing and spontaneous: it creates a delightful mixture of powerful, dynamic interaction and subtle, intimate moments. To achieve this, the input of every individual soloist is very important. It helps the band to make a coherent story out of its huge and varied repertoire. Carlo Nardozza, inspirator of this Euregio band, does most of the writing. His five-part "Dozzy Suite", premiered during the first edition of the Ald Jazz Festival, May 2005, takes hold of the listener for its full fifty minutes: every part of this suite tells its own story, inspired by the melting pot of cultures present in our present-day society.

The CNQ's repertoire, after all these years, is impressive. "Making Choices", their debut album, recorded in the beginning of 2006, only covers their strongest and most important compositions. The "Dozzy Suite", which helped them to win the 2005 edition of the "Young Jazz Talent Competition" of the Ghent Blue Note Festival, will most probably be released on an upcoming album.
