Le texte disponible est en anglais.
"Except for track 13 (Titine Blues), this CD consists entirely of faithful transcriptions of the original recordings. As the original scores didn't exist, I had to reconstitute them myself, a huge amount of work which took me several years to complete. In this way, one can get an idea of how it would have sounded if the Boogie Woogie giants had had the possibility of recording in a digital studio in 2000. To all Boogie lovers, I say: enjoy yourselves ! "

"THE READER" (CHICAGO) NOVEMBER 30TH 2001 CRITIC'S CHOICE (David Whiteis)
Though boogie-woogie was castigated in its days as "primitive" Patigny's articulate attack (not to mention the clarity of his recordings relative to the originals) makes plain how artful it really was...

Patigny himself shines brightest on more mediative numbers: his rendition of Jay McShann's autumnal "Yardbird Waltz" is gentle and sentimental without sacrificing a firm sense of direction, and perfectly captures McShann's indelible combination of melancholy and optimism. The album's lone original, "Titine Blues" is similarly mellow, almost a ballad, and Patigny imbues it with the same wisdom, strength, and tenderness.
